Haha I do the same (19's with ACC for me), though when I have my "old man" moments or when the wife is riding with me, comfort mode is selected! ACC is more about altering the handling charateristics IMO, and Sport mode does make the steering feel more direct!
FYI Prodigy has an R with 19's and no ACC and he reckon's it's fine, especially on some of our questionable WA roads!

I drive an R on 19"s and with no ACC. All good (but I did come out of a Clio sport - now that was a stiff ride)
A good mate got 19"s with ACC and we've obviously swapped at times. I don't see the benefit of having to look at the road ahead and press buttons to drive over it. My mate also admitted he's used it to play with for a few weeks but has never touched it since.
I can see a benefit if you want to hit Sport and have a blast, but if you're concerned about a harsh ride then youre not going to be using that often?
As for wheels rubbing? Not to date
On 19's in Normal mode is same as 19's without ACC. I never put it into Sport mode unless I know the road but I do have it in Sport quite often. Sometimes if we are going out and wife has her boobs half out for all to see I deliberatley put it in Sport mode just for some cheap jollies. She has worked out what I'm up to now so less fun for me!!! lol.
