Haha, Rosey, stop getting us all worked up!
The knock sensor does retard the timing when it detects the onset of detonation...simple but very effective form of insurance against engine damage.
It's ok, that comment was by and for PTW.
Ptw, you want to get technical again??
Here is a question then...with the increase in boost pressure after the tune, im wondering if the stock DV is remaining closed on full boost and WOT...if not, i wonder if putting a stiffer spring inside the stock unit is possible ie where can i find a spring that will fit?
Any idea's?
Absolutely loving my Golf R and hearing the Miss' scream when it come's on boost!!

WTF is with this DV talk? Good god man, get with the times and the rest of the auto community - BOV.
If the macca's carpark group w4nk thing is your scene, then by all means go ahead and put a bigger spring in, any spring, doesn't matter. You could remove the thing altogether at show & tell for all the engine bay gawkers, that'd really get them exctited. Or get an externally venting type that whistles like a HKS SSV to have the young lasses cracking moisty's
You've got bugger all more boost haven't you, ~2psi? Leave the stock one there.
