A Q for R owners
I never checked when we test drove the R
Does it have the small storage box by the drivers right knee ?
I made a replacement item for the one in our GTI
I am hoping it is the same ...
Never understood why VW adds so much fuel use/economy info to the MFD screens in the GTI and R
On the diesel and non performance models I get it but I would much rather have truly useful info related to the engine and drivetrain on my GTI and R.

I don't understand what you don't understand . There are two readings for economy. Instant and average. That's not really excessive. Both are practically mandatory features in this day and age. The only thing that abufijli is confused about is that there are two trip meters....
Yes it does.
You mean like one of these?
NSX > ENPP > HKS CAMP 2 Display
You can get rid of any of the MFI screens that you don't want (i.e. fuel info) from the Settings menu. For the amount of effort that car makers are trying to make their products greener, I guess they want everyone to know about it. I don't see that changing any time soon (besides track day cars, shed-built cars, etc).
It's greener than an R32, isn't it?
I agree about the performance model having more performance info on it though.
