    Thanks to all.

Won't know about it being a write off until NRMA assess it tomorrow. Don't particularly like the idea of have a brand new car 11 days old with 800k's on the clock and $30k worth of repairs Everything forward of the firewall is either bent buckled or broken. Who knows what damage has been done under all of it.

    More later

Oh, sorry to hear about that... It looks like a write-off to me... Happened to me in September, got a 5 months old RS 200 written off after being t-boned by a lunatic driving on red light. One word of advice if indeed is a write-off: don't wait for the insurer to find your car for you. Be proactive, hunt for the one you want looking at dealerships allover the country and if you're lucky enough to find one make sure they get it for you!

That is just heartbreaking - feel for you. Sounds like a write-off - hope so as I wouldn't want it after such a wreck.

The rubbernecker in me wants to see some pics.

Oh that sucks! Sorry to hear about that! I was in Shepparton VIC this weekend, and a commodore driver and his friend were eyeing my car and looking for a drag. I ignored the bogan and even slowed down to test out his patience.

Ouch mate, not good at all.

Went for a drive with my mate Bob who has a very nice TVR.

Great seeing different cars strengths and weaknesses. His car murdered me on the straights and more smooth and flowing roads. As soon as it got a bit bumpy and with tighter corners I was all over him like a rash.

    Damn good fun.

Is it just me, or do the heated seats in the R only work when you're sitting in them?

We've had a few cold mornings where I live, and having the leather seats can be a bit of a wake up call when they're cold. Yesterday, and again last night - I turned the car on before getting into it, and turned on the heated seats. This way I thought I'd heat up the seats for about 5 min before getting into the car.

When I got in (both times) the seats were not heated.... not even the slightest. But within a minute of sitting in them, the heat came through.

I checked the owners manual, but it mentions nothing about the heated seats only being activated when someone is sitting in them. This may be a safety thing or perhaps something to protect the leather from overheating/cracking/burning over time or whatever - but has anybody else noticed this? Or is it just me?
