Your money buys you a empty/blank "Bluefin" handcontroller and a CD that you install onto your computer. The CD gives you a program which lets your Bluefin communicate via your computer to the Superchips servers. The Bluefin handset serves as a tool to upload the Stage 1file and it also keeps your stock file on the handset should you need to change back.
The Bluefin handset does not give you access to modify the tune in any way (eg tweaking - and why would you want to unless you are a professional tuner). It simply allows you to switch between stock and the Superchips map.
It also allows you to do logging of data about the car such as error messages / throttle input / boost etc etc. The CD that comes with the handset has the Superchips program for your computer as well as PDF versions of the user guide. a printed user guide is also provided.
Process:
1) Connect Bluefin handset to OBD port and follow the on screen prompts to download your stock engine mapping (about 20 mins)
2) Once the Bluefin handset confirms that the stock map has been uploaded successfully, remove it from the OBD port and connect it to your computer via the supplied USB cable
3) Install the Superchips CD onto your PC, enter your personal details as well as the cars details (model / make and transmission type) and then press the "connect" button. Your file will now be sent to Superchips.
4) You will receive a email to say that your new modified mapping file is available. Connect the Bluefin handset back up to your computer and download it via the Bluefin program. (about 20 mins)
5) Connect the Bluefine handset back up to the cars OBD port and follow the on screen prompts to upload the new Superchips mapping to the car (about 20 minutes)
6) Start her up and take it for a burn.
