Golf R Observations and Questions

I'm in for a group buy if it happens. The S2TPP Paddle Shifters are probably of the two after a bit of reading today. They seemed to get a real good deal on vwgolf.net.au with "149.95 + 12.95 shipping US for the silver ones and $169.95 for the Black" (DSG Paddle Shifter Extension). Retail is US$195 Silver or US$225.95 (VW). Sorry if it uncool to link other forums, but there are photo's of a MkVI steering Wheel with these attached for those interested.
The only thing that worries me is the possibility that they may interfer with the indicators etc (as on Page 16) and the cost of getting them installed (out of my league).

Hmm - they look a bit too "stylish". I like simple but functional, and the ST2PP ones achieve that and fit in well with the MK6 interior.

Okays - I'll contact S2TPP and find out the details and I'll start a thread about it when I have the details (probably a few days).

The S2T seem like the best paddles but they are on a slight angle so get a bit close to the right indicator stalk, and no illumination. However I'd still go for them over other paddles, just couldn't be bothered in the end.

So never having owned a Golf previously and only ever driven them on test drives is there an issue with the standard paddles to warrant changing them?
