    Good

Best option I chose is reverse camera. By far. It's amazing how much you use it.

I am the guy people would ask to park their car in a ridiculously tight spot (or get them out) and love manual.

But once you've tatsted the RVC and then jump into a non-RVC car in general.. it sucks!!

Next is Chassis Control. DCC is an awesome option and glad I did the late tick.

Come to think of it, RVC and DCC were both last minute changes before orders stopped being able to be changed!

19s for me are a must. The black headlights make the car. Suit the whole grill and all beautifully.

DSG is a stayer too. Good choice.

DynAudio is solid. Sounds a ton better, louder, clearer than the stocka but I could of done something else with the $1300 I reckon.

    Bad

Bluetooth for phone use is good, but not perfect. I like how it comes up with Denzos IPhone and OPTUS on the MFD but sometimes when I get a message it interrupts the music played via MDI? MDI charges my phone but again eh.. I don't know.. It's great to have and all, but I could live without it. (bluettoth and MDi cost around $900!!!)

Sat Nav.. It's a great unit.. Better than any other ones I have used from factory.. But for $2.5k plus LCT.. Bit of a kick in the balls for something I use once a bi-month. It's plays DVDs but not whilst moving.

    Ugly

I wish I got the car with RECAROS. Best option on the list. Makes the car, like the 19s.

If I reordered, I would get,

A 5DR DSG in United Grey, RVC, DCC 19s and RECAROS.
    2010 MY11 GOLF R - 5DR | DSG | RISING BLUE | DYNAUDIO + ACC + BLUETOOTH + 19s + RNS510 |

    2017 MY17 TIGUAN HIGHLINE - 5DR | DSG | PEARL BLACK | SUNROOF + DAP |

I didn't want to start a new thread here with 'Mitsubishi Evo' in the title - but has anyone seen this:
Jalopnik: Obsessed With The Cult Of Cars

Would be a shame, as the Lancer/Evo X was quite high on my list of cars I liked behind the Golf VI.

    On the options front:

Leather - Love it, very comfy, and the heated seat option will be great in winter.
DCC - Love the way the car feels like a go-kart in sport mode
DSG - Having been a manual driver for 20 years, I actually love the DSG
Sat Nav - Wouldn't choose this next time. there are better Sat Navs on the iphone that I can use for the odd time I need it, and they have red light and speed cameras too!
    19" - Very happy I got the 19s
Sunroof - Rarely use it, but like to have the option to get more daylight in the cabin
Electric seats - I like this, and it does have memory apparently (associated with the different keys). Not tried that bit yet as I won't let the wife drive it.
MDI & BT - Brilliant. So nice to be able to use the phone propoerly while driving and if you setup playlists properly the interface for music is great.

Only option I would have like (maybe) is the DynAudio, although the standard sound is still pretty good, and maybe the camera, although the sensors are good enough really.

Actually - this would be awesome to get this information confirmed!
I know that the MFI settings and mirror settings are linked to the key, so it is possible that the electric seat is also linked to the key. I haven't played around enough to discover whether it's the key that unlocks the car or that starts the car which matters (my spare key is stored in a safe location and is never used).

Don't keys that never get used go out of sync and then fail to unlock the car? Might not be a problem since you've got the hidden old-fashioned door lock near the handle.

It has finally arrived. Very pleased with the car. Purchased from Austral VW Newstead Brisbane. Good pre-delivery. Only a minor glitch in the RNS510 which is a 30min software fix. Blue, 18's, RNS510, factory Bluetooth (really good), sunroof, leather, tint. AC is excellent. DSG is superb as is the pre-stage 1 performance. A lovely car. Stage 1 next.

    Please use both key fobs.
    1) After using pressing the unlock button on one key 100,000 times, it will auto lock itself. Some safety mechanism apparently. Using both resets this count.
    2) Battery drains if you don't use the fob.

I was advised about this by a VW mechanic during a Barloworld Owners Workshop.

I observed this morning that a stock R cannot beat a Suzuki 1000 from a standstill hehe. We both had a good laugh about it at the next set of lights though.

    2,500 kms now.
Rising Blue, DSG, 19's, Leather, Bluetooth, Dynaudio upgrade, ACC/DCC, tinted windows.
Really enjoy all my options, although i wouldn't get 19's without ACC. But the combination of DSG and ACC almost gives you 2 cars for the price of 1 as Comfort (or even normal) mode and just putting it in D gives you a nice economical and quiet commute to work, but flicking the ACC over to Sport and S on the transmission gives you a beast that revs to the red line on every change and stays flat through the corners, whilst blipping the throttle on the downchange.

Bluetooth is great and highly recommended.
Leather is a must for me (and it comes with heated seats!), but electric seats are a pain the ass (very slow) and not worth it unless you are swapping drivers regularly and get a memory function. It's still quicker to change the manual seats though compared to the electric.
Dynaudio system is good (didn't hear the stock system) and i'm happy with it.

ACC is getting a good workout depending on my mood and the road conditions

    Bad:
Noticed the other night that my window tint is **** (swirls and bubbles) on the front windows (dealer applied) so will get them to replace this.

So far, i would definetly order the same again and play the waiting game (i'm more patient than others).
