    Removing VW Emblem?

How do you remove the front chrome VW emblem? I'm guessing you have to remove the front grill beforehand? Anyone done it on their R?

Are you wanting to remove it permanently?

People purchase aftermarket grills AND bonnets for that purpose...
You'd also need a bit of fill on the bumper and a respray (which getting the bonnet sprayed)

    Temporarily?
I'd assume there are screws securing the grill along the top. Just open the bonnet and have a look...

just bringing this up from late last year, took the car for a spirited drive through the national park the last couple of days.

the golf is equipped with 18's, re050a's and in sport mode. i found the golf to be very twitchy, bit of understeer coming into corners and a bit of oversteer coming out. i had plenty of tyre squeal as well.

does anyone else find that their golf is somewhat twitchy?

i haven't done a thorough search however can anyone advise if the awd system is permanently on or when there is no throttle the AWD (4motion?) isn't engaged?

    thanks,

I haven't noticed it being twitchy at all. But then I guess descriptions and thoughts are somewhere personal and also highly dependant on the roads, environmentals, and how hard you're pushing etc.
I can confirm that the AWD is via a haldex coupling and is not constant.

You can get black badges? That'd look pretty good on the R with the other black highlights.

The Evo's driveline trickery is a step up on the R's abilities IMO so might take a bit of adjusting to a slightly different driving style to get the most out of it.
