I just got my foam boot liner from my dealer today.

He ordered a Golf GTi liner and it fitted perfectly in my R.

Let me know if you wanted the part number.

It was actually the boot liner for a Mk 5 Golf 4 Motion. Sorry the guy at the dealership said this to me but on the label it said Mk 5 Golf 4 Motion.

Part Number: 1K0 061 161.

Cost was $120 in GST

Hi fellow Dubbers

I am seeking a car bra for my new R. I have rang Carbra (Vic) and Carbras (NSW) and they say they are waiting for someone with an R to visit them so they can measure. I live in western Qld and would really love to preserve the front of my R for future resale value (derrrr :P)

Does anybody know if I can purchase a very well fitting, non-paint scratching and removing car bra or front end protector from please?

Have you considered putting on Ventureshield instead of a carbra? Costs start at $650 for a basic kit that covers the same area on a car as the bra.

^^ Like someone wrote in the comments section, the Golf R is aimed at a different market, more of a grand tourer rather than a "R" racing breed as the badge suggests. Anyhow we all know how to transform it. :robot:
