just a question regarding the Dynaudio upgrade, if anyone knows where the amplifier is located and whether you can daisy chain another amp of the dynaudio amp to power a sub?

The amplifier is located underneath the passenger seat. I can't comment on the daisy-chaining though, sorry.

What are peoples thoughts/opinions on the the 19" Tallageda's?
Do they create a really bad and uncumfy ride? Does ACC counter act the issue?

    Thanks

This has been discussed quite a number of times, main consenses seems to be that those with ACC love it and the ability to be able to change the ride from a touring type feel in 'Comfort' mode to a harder edge ride in 'Sport' mode is fantastic.
Then again people without ACC have also said the ride quality even with the 19's is fantastic and not uncomfortable at all on most road surfaces and ACC is not required.
Best option is drive both and make your own decision.

    gtishe:
If you are going to "daisy chain", you need an amp which has a hi-level input, or purchase line level converters.
Best to speak to a reputable audio shop, in QLD Northfield have a pretty good reputation

Given the 'Q-car nature of the R' a change like this would confuse even the spotters

I stuck my head under a TSI and R this morning and ironically there is a much more space under the R.

Can't say I agree Corey: So far this conversation hasn't offered any real substantive insight to the problem for me...however given I've already got a suitable tow vehicle in the Tiguan, I'm scoping without commitment.

ADR is the likely biggest difficulty but an engineers cert would cover this most probably.

I'd go as far to say it isn't a run of the mill idea; some see impossibilities, others see possibilities. Glass half full or empty?

A caravan behind a Golf would present many issues... I sure wouldn't want to be overtaking you when you get a strong side wind...

I have roofracks for 5m kayak and dual suspension mountain bike... I have my reservations on how they will both fit on top of the Golf...

The Golf R is not practical for a hatchback.. Size is a critical thing. Rear seats not folding flat is a poor engineering oversight. It's more competition with coupes and the like. I have owned many hatchbacks and this one will be the least practical.

And it's definitely quicker than any hatch I have ever had.

Has anyone tested out the time it takes to read a 16GB SDHC on the RCD510?

This youtube clip shows that it does take quite a while to read the SD Card.

I am running a 1GB card and it stores over 100 songs and loads in seconds.
You literally can't listen to them all in a couple of days of driving.
At most i would reccomend 4GB, after that it just gets too many songs to even organise or listen to.
