Golf R 3 door/5 door speculation/information thread

Hi guys, I'll just clarify what I meant earlier. Typing fast on a few different pages is a recipe for disaster

I have 5 pictures, covering the rear the side and the front of the car from different angles. No pictures of the inside though
The pictures of the rear and the front show the small sensor locations. There are 4 holes in the rear and 4 in the front.
I'm actually flashing the guys car a bit later today and I'll see if I can find out more

Not mistakenly, the prices include LCT. Audi does the same thing and has a note in their material saying if the car is below the LCT threshold the option pricing will need to be recalculated

I know what Audi do, but that is not what is happening here. If the $5300 of the Recaro's is correct because it includes LCT, then then that means that all the other prices are wrong, since they DO NOT include LCT.

I asked if I can go and cancel the GTI order and move it over to an R, he was not sure if would loose my deposit though. Still needs to get back to me.

While they can keep it, they'd be silly to do that given that shifting a GTI order is easy as with the delays and they'd be loosing a sale for a more expensive car if you protested.

Well, mostly.

We KNOW that the options except for the Recaro seats do not include LCT. That is fact. Otherwise the prices for all Golf TSI, TDI, GTI, Wagon etc's prices are wrong. We can safely assume since those cars have been on sale now for some time, that the prices are not wrong

The Recaro seats for the MKV R32 as of two months ago were $4000. Now two months later, the same seats on the MK6 R are $5300.

So we both actually agree about the Recaros, that the price of $5300 includes LCT.

My point was/is, there is no mention of the seat's price including LCT, and VW shouldn't be listing some (well 1) option with LCT and others without LCT. That is all

I'm sure all of this will be sorted out before the official announcement. But if you and I are wrong and the current price doesn't include LCT for the recaro's, then the final price is truly scary!

Even if they were $4k with LCT, I still wouldn't spend the money. As nice as they are, it is just getting a bit silly on the cost. The LCT on the 2 options I want is already stupid. F U RUDD

i question those retards who need park assist... seriously why the f*ck would you need park assist?

I don't think its a matter of need. You don't need cruise control, power steering or ABS either - they're just useful features to make your driving experience easier and/or safer.

I can imagine that in some tight parking situations it would be useful to let the park assist do the work for you... especially when the car is new and you're getting used to the dimensions and steering.

Well that matches the info I have been told. I'll be content going with a United Grey 5dr with the black 19's but if they brought the 3dr out within 12mths after saying no, I'd be furious!

Interesting info about the transit mode thing, good to know.

DSG
Sunroof
Adapative Chassis Control
Reversing Camera
Media Device Interface

That is assuming the price is right...

Oh and it must be a 3 door. No 3 door = No Intrest in the slightest.

Almost forgot the 19" Rims too...
