Each to their own, but don't think no 3 door would be a deal breaker but would be disappointing for those that want one.

But after all the press pics etc i doubt VWA would tease everyone then say 'no you can't have one', although the same thing could happen with the Scirocco so won't be a surprise getting screwed over for choices in AUS.

I dont know - I'm not sure VWA has any issue at all with teasing us with press pictures and then denying us the opportunity to buy it!
MKV GTI was almost entirely shown in 3 door. Then when first released in Australia, the entire brochure was 3 door - yet the only car you could order was 5 door! They've done it before, they'll do it again

That's true but the 3 doors came afterwards so could be the same story!

No polo 3 doors is a joke though.

Yeah - the new Polo GTI was kinda my 'fall back car' to wait for VW to come to their senses with the no 3 door on the R. But you're right - no 3 doors on that is just ****ing ridiculous - the car is so small that the rear doors are useless for anyone but kids anyway.

Agree, true. the Megane 250 would be fun but you lose way too much in depreciation, although they look a bit better.

You guys don't get the RS at all... It is an event, a rarer than hen's teeth hot hatch. Sure it has some compromises but as a package and taking exclusivity into account nothing this side of $150k comes close.

funnily enough.. i WANT to be doing my daily commute in a car like a GTI or R... imagine how much fun that would be first thing in the morning.. 5 days a week! lol
