Try this, was it this one:

(looks to be part leather, part cloth. I'd prefer one or the other and wouldn't pay extra for that unless it was standard).

G-Rig - read my post on the previous page. From the official VW Press Release, it's black microfibre, not leather.

@Mav - aah - I didn't realise that it had changed during the MKV's life. The cloth would probably be better than leatherette there, especially on a 3dr if you were regularly moving the seats forward to let others in....

Yeah - the photos just too small to see the texture diff between microfibre and leather. I must say that even after reading that it's microfibre, I'm convinced that the arm rest is still leather, but then I haven't noticed anything which states either way about it.

Just remember too though, the trim here from overseas sometimes is different on the R's so you never know at the end of the day.

    I like the R36's seats/trim, very nice!

I look forward to jumping in one in May (europe) .. bwhaha. lol had to rub that in. Trying to tee up a test drive whilst there as well if we havent already got a press car here by then.
    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

are you actually getting a Golf R coreying or just like this thread :p?

The finish is a bit nicer on the R36 but I don't need a car that big yet.

IMO... the picture above shows suede light grey inserts, leather arm rests (doors also) and micro-fibre fabric everywhere else.

I think I'll wait for the Scirocco R, would be a bit more unique/fun..
