Anyways, won't be first choice for purchase or service based on that.

I love my Skoda, but now with the little one I need a run about so figure the GTI is the logical choice without going over the top!
Sorry doc , totally miss read , got the flu bad , too much dimatap , i see your point , had noticed that myself when i started looking .

Dealer in adelaide moved his demo prices down 2 weeks after promo started , bit slow .

Mine is a manual , i can live without the leather .

Is it a demo? How many kms?

Best I've been able to achieve so far is 2010 5 Door DSG GTI (silver) with ACC, Leather, MDI and Detroits, Drive-away $47,000 (must purchase before 29th June)
Brand new manual landed 2/6/2011 , bit lucky as there were only 13 manuals in OZ , about 100 DSG'S , but i noticed large number of red , not wanted colour i suppose .

Keep hunting you might do better on a new one .

Leather adds about 3300 so I'd say your price is pretty good. The white one I looked at was manual with leather, roof, Bluetooth, detroits, mdi. Advertised demo with 2500km @ $45,500

Thats pretty good as it would be $54K new drive away 2 months ago , $9K saving with only 2500 on the clock is good value .

Guys there is no new Jetta thread so thought I would post here.

Going to be ordering the new face Jetta for delivery in September-October. Prices will be based on current model for now dealer said in email.

Looking at the new Jetta 118TSI Sedan 4dr 1.4TSI.

    Current prices are $35000 driveway + DSG $2500 + RNS510 $3000 + Leather $3000. Comes around $43500.

How close can I get it down to around $35K? If I use corporate discount how much would they take off roughly?

    Cheers

Yeah but those 2,500km would have been the HARDEST 2,500km that car is most likely to have ever driven! Any demo car is thrashed by hundreds of test pilots and salespeople on weekends.......

With modern engines and lubricants my understanding that short bursts of high intensity driving is actually beneficial. Having been around V8 supercar teams, racing karts etc etc most engine builders I've spoken to say you can expect better economy and more horsepower out of an engine that has been driven hard earlier in it's life. Anyways, each to their own I guess.........
