With the current free on roads your looking at $27490+$550 = $28040. (plus floor mats are $250ish)
If you did get less than that you have done better than most. I couldn't even get floor mats thrown into the deal. I didn't have much option though, it was the only car with the specs and colour I wanted that was on it's way, else I had several more months to wait.
thanks a lot for reply me,i feel better now,BTW i also enquired about the 118tsi today and they can offer the 118tsi for $31900 as final price with bluetooth, mdi.
i forget whether this price include the metalic paint.hope this will help someone.

Is there any way you can get free metallic paint thrown in (savings of $500)?

I noticed the penalties if i break the contract,so i am wondering did somebody have a situation like this: )
it is good to know this great forum, thanks a lot for reply me,i feel happy when i saw your reply.
I don't supposed both dealerships are the same franchise? That would make it much easier!

If you want to break the contract, all you can do is sit down with the salesman and dealer principle and explain the situation and see what they say.

I would concentrate on the fact that it is the exact colour you want and as the MDI etc and so is more desireable than the one you signed for, rather than the price being lower...

yea, it is my situation,i prefer the car which i enquried today,it is a silver color, and with mdi interface.but they are different franchise,so it is not easy to transfer the deal from the old one to the new one.........
i think i will buy the old one, because i have already signed the contact.

As I said... have a chat to them.

Also, how long ago did you sign the contract? Maybe there is a "cooling off period".

The other point to consider is that the more expensive model may be a 2011 build whereas the cheaper one may be a 2010 build.
You mentioned the original order car was yet to be delivered.

Instead of "helping" him with all of his options, why not encourage him to honour the original contract that he signed?

Putting the price aside, if the OP has now decided that he prefers another color and accompanying options, he can break the contract - there is a price to pay of course, for getting out of the contract.

It's only money. I would not proceed with a contract if the color is now not what I want.

    I did.

But as has been said since then, it's not necessarily about price but colour. So whilst I still think it's unfortunate that he wants to break his contract what can you do?

Can you offer any helpful suggestions?
