hey all, i was at Rex Gorrell VW in Geelong yesterday test driving the new GTI (only dealer i found that had a manual GTI).

anyway if anyone is after a GTI or R without the wait - VW Rex Gorrell have 6 GTI's and 4 R's at the showroom!

couldnt believe my eyes when i saw 3 of the R's parked next to eachother in the showroom with the wait times on them - the sales rep there was sayin he reckons they are the only dealer with so many on hand.

emailed them today this is the line up they have

blue -dsg
-blue tooth
-tallageda 19 inch alooys
-sunroof
-media device interface
- parking sensors


Grey - dsg
No Options

white-dsg
-blue tooth
- adaptive chassis control
- tallagenda 19 inch alloys
- sunroof

Quick note: I think you'll find they all have Parking Sensors. They are standard on the R. (And Im guessing its the R cause you can option 19s on it.)

Yep i knew R all had parking sensors...

didn't ask if it was 3 or 5 Doors

they are all five doors! the 4th one they had must have sold today then!

should be free onroad from VW at the moment, that makes it $36,500, ask if they can get one from another dealer, if so offer them $34-34.5 and leave it with them, try a few dealers, even intersate ($500 freight should get it landed)

They are separate options. Park Assist is bundled with front and rear parking sensors, however.

Thanks i have come to realise that hardly any cars in australia for sale new right now do not have this as option.
