My parents are now looking at buying a Golf.

I've never really looked at the rest of the Golf range apart from the GTI and R so unsure what pricing is like on the other models.

We test drove a 5 door DSG 90TSI today with Comfort Pack.

Is $30,600 drive away a good price?

There is no "Comfort Pack" anymore on the Trendline models (90TSI/77TDI), so this would have to be a MY10 or older model.
In preparation for the release of the 77TSI, VW increased the standard inclusions on the Trendline models to justify their price over the 77TSI. Therefore, many of the inclusions from the "Comfort Pack" were included as standard. Thus, it was abolished.

The comfort pack was about $2200. So maybe this is a bargaining position?
You can see the changes to the MY11 Trendlines here.

An advantage of a pre-MY11 Trendline with Comfort Package is that it has the Dual Zone Climate Control, Auto Lights, and Auto Wipers which are now no longer an option.

Great, thanks for that Corey, i suspected that was the case as the latest Golf brochure has no mention of the Comfort Pack and i noticed a few options on the car were listed as 'not available' in the brochure so that all makes sense now. To me the older car with the 'comfort pack' seems quite a good proposition against the newer model with less features, at the right price of course..

Yeah.... as long as you realise that the price wasn't increased for the added specification to the MY11 models. Thus, if you buy a MY10 with Comfort Pack and don't receive some concession for that fact, you're essentially paying $2200 for Dual Zone Climate Control, Auto Lights and Auto Wipers. I'm not sure those three features are really worth $2200, but other people's opinion may differ

Golf Wagon - Anyone bought one?

I'm looking at buying the new Golf Wagon. Anyone bought one and were you able to negotiate a good discount on price? What percent discount should I try to get?

    I'm looking at:
    118TSI Comfortline
    Sport pack
    Park Assist
    Sunroof

    Price Paid for 118TSI

Just wondering if anyone would like to share how much they paid for the MK6 118TSI.
Looking to buy the stock standard 118TSI manual version (either white or reflex silver) at the present time and have been quoted around the low $32 000 mark.

Has anyone been able to secure a better price then this at any QLD dealer?

Which dealership have you been going through?
I used Highway Auto at Springwood and they were very good with pricing for my car.

Also try speaking to one of the friendly dealership staff on the forums to see what they can help you with.
Info on their contact details are here: Dealers Contact Information
Note that buying interstate can sometimes give you a better deal.

Are you coming to the Brisbane Euro meet on Friday?

Sweet good to know that I should be able to get in under that mark.

In terms of what dealers I've talked to, have only gotten a hold of highway VW due to a lot of the other dealers still cleaning up post floods. So hoping for some better figures in the coming days.
