Do you own a telephone????
Hi all, have decided to get my wife a Golf R.
When i purchased her the Gti, i emailed every dealer in the country with what i wanted and sked for the best price, 1 dealer responded out of 34 Emails sent, I purchased the car off them.
I am after a GOLF R, 5 DOOR, DSG, RECAROS, ACC, R/CAM prefer white, but any colour will do DEF not black.
No NAV or DYN or 19's etc, will do all those aftermarket.
if anyone has seen any cars matching the specs could you please pass on the details of the dealer.
Thanks in advance.
Do you own a telephone????
The last people on earth i want to speak to or have my number is a real estate agent or a car dealer.
and all they say is come in and chat, a little hard when you are 200kms away.
If you don't fancy contacting the dealers, get onto a car broker and get them onto it...

Current ride - Golf R 7.5 DAP, Sunroof, Dynaudio, DSG
I agree, do you own a telephone? Or maybe even be polite and go and speak to another person face to face like we have done for thousands of years unlike today's generation.

If you won't speak to them why should they want to speak to you or do business with you

A bit harsh. A lot of communication is via email these days and the guy explained that he lives 200km away. I've phoned dealers, emailed dealers, and gone into dealerships and they all have their pros and cons. I'm surprised at how many neglect email - perhaps they get a ridiculous number of enquiries each day but a lot of them have contact emails that they simply don't respond to.If you won't speak to them why should they want to speak to you or do business with you
Even if it's an opportunity for a dealer to go, "Hey Bob, thanks for your email, give me a call on XXXXX and I might be able to help you out" sometimes that's all it takes e.g. his experience with the GTI.
If you do, stay away from Private Fleet.. I got my last car with them.. Horrible.. They’re a bunch of criminals..
If you’re not keen on emailing/calling random dealers, maybe try sending a PM to some of the VWW dealer members??

Good luck!

I did it by email , however you must be very exact about what specs you require , if it looks serious they will reply , but not generalisations .
I posted it at 8.30am and had first call within 30mins , deal done in days .
hrb93 where did you end up buying from .
I get it my business every day , "dreamers " , you soon recognize a serious email enquiry .
Hey guys, after some advice.
As most of you know, we picked up our new car on Friday. As part of the deal we got the VW Corporate Discount. On Pickup we didn't have any of the paperwork that said we were a member of this particular group however the dealer signed everything and we were to fax/email to him.
Anyways......
We changed address and I don't think the membership renewal papers came to our current location (You see where i'm going here!) Turns out the membership has run out. What are our options now? As far as i'm concerned, the dealer has singed everything so we are in the clear, but I want to do right by him because he is a good guy.
Any advice would be great!
Cheers!
