Hey guys, I placed deposit on Saturday. Could you guys tell me if I got a good deal or not?

2010 Build MK6 90TSI, Candy White, Comfort Pack.
    Total $30000 (Corp Disc included)

Should've I went for 118TSI no opt instead? I am regretting abit for not going for Comfortline...

    Thanks

You are correct that by the time you go for the 90TSI with the Comfort Pack, you're already pretty close to the cost of the 118TSI without options. If you only signed on Saturday, if there is a cooling off period, you could change the order

Thanks for your feedback coreying. How long is the cooling off period? The dealer never mentioned a cooling off period and they are probably not at work right now... And how much am I looking at for a 118TSI no opts with highest level corp disc?

Edit: I googled cooling off period and apparently cooling off period only applies to used car purchases only...

I test drove the 90TSI and fell in love instantly with the way it drives I didnt think about the 118...

Damn, I shouldve asked for advice before I make any decision...

Just have a chat to the dealer/manager, i'm sure they would let you upgrade perhaps.

There is only $2300 difference between a 90TSI DSG with Comfort Pack, and a 118TSI DSG. Since you already were able to obtain a ~10% discount on your car, I see no reason why they couldn't supply you for the 118TSI DSG in Candy white for only $2k more... so $32,000 drive away.

As for the cooling off period, the only way to tell is to actually look at the papers you actually signed.
However, even if there isn't one, giving the dealer a phone call and asking whether it can be switched to a 118TSI can't hurt. Dealers are often accomodating to customers who are waiting to swap for a higher model - as long as the deal hasn't gone too far or involved some technicality or financial outlay for the dealer already (having to purchase the car themselves, swap with another dealer or something like that).

Either way, I think you'll be happy with the 90TSI or 118TSI. But if you're having 2nd thoughts now, and you can afford the additional, don't sit there, call the dealer NOW!

Hey thanks so much for your advice coreying and G-rig.
I've given this some time and really thought about this. If I compare 118TSI (no opts) vs 90TSI (with comfort pack) basically for 2-3k more I will be getting "Comfort Seats", Chrome trims on the grill and more power and torque. I felt that 90TSI had plenty enough power and torque (well, to me anyway). I never tested or seen the "comfort seats" but, correct me if Im wrong, I thought that they both are cloth seats anyway how much more "comfortable" can they be? Chrome grills look good but at the end of the day Im not too bothered about not having them really. I could be wrong but I cant really justify forking out another 2-3k for these extras. So I think Im going to stick with 90TSI.

Bit hard for anyone else to help decide - depends what you want out of a few extras or a better base model. I'm not really familiar with either so can't offer much advice except 2-3k is probably not much over a few years and wouldn't affect repayments much if you are financing etc.. Just get the one you want the first time i guess.
