It must have ended already? Its showing up as $1999!
In any case ive already got coilovers![]()
For a cheap set of sports orientated coilover suspension, it may pay to have a look at the ST coilovers. ST coilovers are the poor cousin of the KW Variant – 1. KW has a warranty centre in the USA and a research centre in Canada, where they do development work with HPA Motorsport. ST coilover does not have the Inox chrome coating or lifetime warranty and are not made in Germany like the KW Variants. ST coilovers are Nickel coated & have a limited 5 year warranty and are made in North America. HPA Motorsport sell them for @ USD$800 atm for the Mark 6 Golf (add USD$350 shipping + @ 15% local taxes). ST coilovers appear to be good value compared to the KW V1.
HPA Motorsports Inc. Holiday Specials 2010
HPA KW SHS comfort/sports coilover are also now available for the Mark 6 Golf GTI/R for @ USD$1K.
HPA KW SHS coilover are the same kit for the Jetta, Golf R32 and GTI in the MKV model range. Sachs has the same product code for GTI and R32 for the MKV range as are some earlier Bilstein PSS10 coilover kits for the MKV Golf's. Not sure about the MK6 range for each of those products.
KW coilovers distinguish between GT/GTI/R models for product code for each particular model and also offer different product codes for the manual –v- DSG Golf’s due to the DSG adding another 20kg up front.

Anoter stupid question.....
What's a coil over.
In laymans terms , please.
Golf R MY 11.5 United Gray, 3 door, DSG, ACC, Free MDI, Bluetooth
Mods - APR Downpipe, VW Racing AI, HPFP, APR Tune Stage 2+- lovin it!
Touareg V8 TDI R-Line, White .Arrived 11 July.
APR are having a sale as well... APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW Porsche and Skoda Vehicles.
It's basically just a shock absorber with a coil spring around it
They're standard in many cars, particularly upfront (left side of this image)
Coilover - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When we're referring to an aftermarket part they're often adjustable,
under the spring is a platform which is threaded so you can adjust the ride height
often the shock damping itself is adjustable too, so you can change the suspension behaviour.
non-coil over, is where the shock is mounted separately to the coil, as in many offroad 4WDs, and the rear of the golf.
