Yeah doesn't take too many km before you're good to go. The APR upgrade is great.Originally Posted by elisiX

I had Derek tune my 07 TTQ also - made such a difference.
The air intake was done at the same time. Great throttle response.

Hey thanks a lot.
Apparently the Dynaudio is seperate to the Nav set up. And this combined price is still $3800.
And I literally cant wait. :{
Sales people saying FEB to me!? Can that even be possible? I remember someone I know ordered a brand new BMW 325CI, full custom spec with xenon, roof, Mpower rims, even minidisc, and you know how yu can choose wood finish and those sort of details, but it took 10-12 weeks from memory? Feb sounds insane but we shall see.
I dont know If I can maintain the excitement.. for 9 months!!
Hey,
I would get the 18's not just because they make it look like a non standard golf, but because the rubber you get with them will almost be worth the $1200 I reckon (18x8i?) european rubber! You can always sell them rims later for a packet and get some aftermarkets to suit your rubber if you desire. Thats what I am going to do If I am not really liking the Detroits. But I dont mind them.
Also as for your sig, yes, I test drove one and was blown away in a similar way. I always had more powerful cars such as a 425hp Skyline and some WRX's all pretty clean cars but modded (99,03, 09) and after driving the golf, even though it was not that quick, you noticed how poorly built the other cars were. it was quick enough and the main thing for me.. the whole package!! Interior was just so good! and all the oiptions just made it awesome. Its taken me 10 years to be someone who would buy a golf, but 2 test drives and I was down.
I would recommend buying base model with DSG and thats it than a perspective WRX 2011 on the horizon. I guess if you havent had it and you just want speed, fair enough, but you almost feel cheated when you sit in the DSG you didnt buy.
I ordered my GTI in Mid March, and its on a ship as we speak. its due to dock in Melbourne on 16th of June, so by the time it gets off the docks, go through customs, and pre deliveries it should be ready for pick up by mid july (which is what the dealer has stated to me), but im giving them until late July just incase it takes abit longer to get here or something.
Which is ALOT less then the October pick up date I was originally told!!!
Custom car I ordered is in my sig, CANNOT WAIT!!!
Agree, that is plainly wrong info to be passing onto a client. I spoke with my car buyer today (not going through a dealership) and he was able to get my custom slotted in this weeks production through VW. So if I/he can do that, then why cant this dealer??? Something is not right at all. Max 12 weeks at the moment all things going smoothly.
Rexman, I think you have converted me, cant argue with common sense. Ditto with the test drive, I dont think I'll buy another "Aussie performance car" the quality/dynamic divide is too great. Besides I have all the pure grunt factor out of my system now. Comfort is good.
Ask some questions and clarify this with your dealer. Let me know how you go.
XR6 Turbo/Falcon XR8/Falcon XR8/GTI MK VI, Carbon Steel, DSG, Sunroof, SATNAV, MDI, Camera - Arriving 23 AUG 10 (5 Long months later)
Don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it.
Feb delivery is pretty crazy, you'd almost want to wait and get a 2011 build. 9 months sounds too long - they're not making a baby .
I was told yesterday when I picked up my GTI that the wait is 8-9 months now.
fark that! No way in hell i'd be waiting on that. I almost topped myself waiting 5 months (and I was promised 3 when we signed)
