Looks like a pretty nice spec and deal congrats.

Easy (and can be cheaper) to add NAV later, and you can sell your stock 6cd to go towards it. Costs around 1-2k from europe/ebay/group buys, or around 3k for local install including warranty at places like European Autotech & Harding Performance.

However the dynaudio package comes with Nav doesn't it?

I don't think it's changed from launch but you can order it with or without.

Hi Guys/gals,

Ordered mine yesterday, so I had better list my deal, I am happy just not certain of delivery although they did say mid-July???

GTI VI DSG, Nav, Sunroof, MDI, Camera, Carbon Steel; $47,000 drive away but as I am leasing it it is $42, 723 drive away. Could not get the current end of financial year deal due to getting corporate discount, but was able to get an additional $2670 dealer discount ontop of fleet discount. So they are prepared to neg.

Still toying with the idea of 18's.....what are your thought on this? Will get the APR tune after run in. Or are the 17's sufficient?

Hi Yoshi I would get the 18" detroits as they look heaps better and pretty good deal for $1200 extra which would be a bit less after discount. Or you could get aftermarket wheels later, depends what you want. A lot of people get the 17" too.

Did the dealer provide you with a VIN? If so, then you'll be able to track it and be sure of the delivery date (one of the sticky's has the instructions, website, etc...). If not, then mid July seems kind of optimistic, given that it most likely will not have been built yet, esp given the ETA's others here have recently been quoted for custom builds...

With the 18s, it's all down to personal preference, IMO, I love the stance of the 18s and the added firmness of the ride, but that's me...

yep, resigning myself to the fact that mid July is not going to happen. Was told they sourced one on the docks but it had the camera (which I wasnt fussed about) so they secured this one. No VIN yet, so until then I am not getting fixated on the delivery date as long as I get the car I want.

When are you getting the tune? Seems like a no brainer considering the "R" type results for the price! Yep 18's look the part, but I had to limit myself on the options otherwise I would of kept ticking!!! Kid in a lolly shop....

Have you wiped the smile off your face yet? I wouldnt yet!!

I questioned this at launch, but had nothing else to support my theory except that when the Dynaudio is combined with the RNS510 in the Comfortline, it's only $1000 extra. However, we now know the prices for the R, and yet again, the Dynaudio when combined with the RNS510 is only $1000 extra, so $3500.

So my question here is obviously, is your price correct, or why is the Dynaudio + RNS510 combination $300 more in the GTI over the Comfortline and R ?

Volkswagen may have changed the prices since the initial release but these were the prices they announced to the dealers at that time. So it's probably $3500 the same as the R.

Ah ok, well at least you're being realistic about the delivery date, not setting yourself up for disappointment.

Similar to you, I'll be doing the APR tune once I have a few km's under my belt. I'm upto 700km atm after 2wks so I'm slowly getting there.. But yeah, around the 2,000km mark is when I'll look at doing it.

Am I still smiling? You bet... Will always go for a drive each night after work, get home around 9pm and then take it for a spin... Loving every second of it.
