My parents have recently decided to join me and get a GTI and have been quoted as follows.

5 door DSG with leather, bi-xenons, electric drivers seat, 18" detroits and reversing sensors for $50,500 drive away.

What do you guys think?

Well I was about to post a question about a GTI 5 door with DSG, Adaptive Chassis Control, 18" Detroits and Bi-Xenons for $53,000 drive away........looks like my suspicions of being rolled was correct!!

Ok. I paid the similar amount with CD but few more options.

Yeah the price just doesn't add up, I mean you have a Sunroof, Leather, reversing camera, dynaudio and tint. I mean the leather alone is 3k so you are looking at easy 6-7k worth of options over what I was after. I don't like screwing sales people over as I am in sales myself and hate it when someone takes up a lot of your time then cuts your throat on price. But if they want to try and roll me then game on LOL!!

So, im picking up my new gti on Monday..... (had ordered a polo gti but its been delayed by 8-16 weeks, needless to say, i dont want to wait)

$41,000 for a new 2011 MY12, carbon steel, stock apart form 18" detroits..... still not sure if its that great a deal.

Thoughts?
