Candy white with nice tint and the detroits looks awesome. You'll be happy when you pick it up. I always think about price, but trust me, the only time you'll think about it is now and the time you get the keys. As soon as you drive out of the dealership you won't think about it once again

I still have a soft spot for the RS. They are 2 different cars 2 achieve 2 different purposes but the GTI is certainly more fun. The exhaust note helps and it feels a lot more nimble and better on direction change. I actually think the steering weight in the RS is better. Adds a bit more feel, but I'm sure that is personal. Interior quality is good in the Skoda but you can see & hear where the extra money goes in the GTI.

Hi guys, i've been trolling in here the last 3 weeks but this is my first post....
Was very excited and positive...until today. Im ready to buy a GTI and have rung a couple of dealers in Perth. Im after: 5-dr Carbon Steel, dsg, xenons, 18" upgrade, rear camera.
Told them im ready to buy, but the best price I had was still $52k!!! Both dealers weren't interested in moving at all with their price, telling me these cars are selling by themselves at those prices. From what I have read in here, people in the eastern states are easily getting $5k less than that for similar specs.
I'd like to know if $52k for that spec is "normal" here in Perth...or should I be haggling for more? I figured that even if I can get one for $48k from over east, I could freight it to Perth and still save a few grand!
At the moment im just abit deflated about buying one if it's gonna be more than $50k....I could get a bigger vehicle at that price.
Price isn't great. A guy over on vwgolf.net just picked up one similar for $48 I think.
Def look interstate and get it shipped
