Is yours a plastic piece of crap or a nice shiny pedal like the main ones?

I'm sad that mine is a plastic POS.

All Right-Hand-Drive Golf's just have a plastic dead pedal. It's colour depends on the rest of the interior's colour (i.e. It can be beige, tan, coffee coloured, etc).
