There's a good reason that 3 door is THE hot hatch way. Look at the Scirocco, the Focus RS, the Renault Clio and Megane RS models, plus older Renault turbo models, Pug 205/206 GTI, 306 GTI.... the list goes on and on and on with 3 door only hot hatches. I think it's great that the Golf is available in 5 door versions for those who want to use it as a Camry, but hey - 3 door is where it's at - stop kidding yourselves
Oh I've had it wrong all this time. Thought the brochure always showed the cheapest form of the model on offer so they can quote the 'From only' X dollars.

    What's wrong with the camry?

Except it's confirmation that you ARE delusional, as the brochure never does show the cheapest form of the model... seriously, it's just like you guys ARE buying Camrys. All the Golf brochures always have little disclaimers about all the options on them... anyway - I guess this line of discussion has gone on for long enough. But the simple fact is, just like all the other hot hatches available, and the ORIGINAL Golf GTI, those who want that style, won't be buying the 5 door "family" version... which unfortunately includes the Golf 35 in Australia. Stick with the regular Golf GTI in the configuration you want, and then add the extras you want... including K04 kit if that's what you want.

I love how the moderators have kept this thread firmly on track - now lets see how long this post lasts

I think the Ed 35 is the Pirelli of the MkVI range to keep people interested with the MkVII release being imminent.

Seriously... if you guys wanted me to keep this thread on track, i'd be 2 pages long. It's a bit ripe to have a go at me for my last few posts when the thread is already at 26 pages due to all the rest of the BS posts from you guys..

I agree that it's to keep people interested.... however, we're still about 2 years from a MK7 GTI in Australia, so it's hard to call the release "imminent".

Behind you on this. I think it's good Mods relax the rules from time to time. Mods should be free to join in, otherwise they would spend all their time just policing threads. And yes it would be a short thread if cleaned up. Don't agree with what you call the BS posts. I'd like to see it as friendly banter, chewing the fat and above all friendly sh.. stir. All conversations go off on tangents from time to time.
