Rns is pretty much pnp, just need the torx tools to remove hu. Minor coding needed. That eBay one seems fine. Plenty of threads about who to buy off
Ops however is NOT pnp. Need specific knowledge and tools

Very impressed with the car, goes very well! (to put it mildly) - picked up yesterday.
Was happy with the Lennock experience (in the end) too.

I want to swap the RCD510 unit for a Nav one, I was quoted around $3500 (estimate) for this? Any idea how much I can sell the current one for and where? Will do it if the "changeover" is a bit better than $3500.

Also thinking of getting park sensors as well - estimated at around $800 - thoughts?

Thanks mate... loving it and finding excuses to take it for a drive any opportunity I get!
(Damn rain in Canberra yesterday means it is not looking as nice as it did a few days ago in those photos already!)

Yes that is the problem with these cars, you want to be in them all the time and rack up the kays and fuel bill

    Mods for ED35... (exhaust)

    Hey All,

So I have an Edition 35 and am having a bit of trouble working out what exhaust I can use for my car.... Obviously the engine is from an R but everything else is gti... that kind of makes it hard for buying an off the shelf exhaust. I have been looking at the Borla cat-back, would this fit on an ED35?

    Cheers.

You want the exhaust for a GTI. Any exhaust for a GTI will fit the ED35.

See here for some inspiration from another ED35 owner: http://www.vwgolf.net.au/showthread....l=1#post247580

the borla website asks for whether the engine is CCTA or CBFA.. any ideas what would be suitable for the 35?

I cant remember off the top of my head what code the engines in Australia/NZ are. If you have a look on the side of your cam cover (drivers side of the engine) under the engine cover there is a white barcode type sticker there which will have the engine code on it.
