I wouldn't be waiting until the first service to bring that up... it's not a car servicing issue if things are missing...
There is a clause in all the brochures that states that VW is not liable for any change in specs between those specified in the brochure and the subsequent delivered car.
I suggest that is delimiting that which is specified as an option supplied by the dealer and VW themselves. If indeed VW advertise a vehicle with certain components and subsequently not supply them then that is false advertising, there is no wriggle room.
My father some years ago pursued FORD because thier broshures indicates side airbags in the seats and he discovered on reciept that there were none. After some to and from over several months with the Marketing and sales crowd he eventually wrote to the CEO of Ford Australia with the issue and within 24 hours he had a new Ford Explorer, took 18 months. Gave them the old one back...

I went to my local dealer yesterday and saw that they just had a new red adidas come in, this was a October 2010 build....
Are all adidas cars built in 2010 or did some make it into 2011? I didn't go for one as I wanted a 2011 build, but more importantly, no corporate deals were being done on them either. So it made the overall price difference a lot larger than the the initial $3,500 odd on the RRP...

Wow, all the hate for a tiny badge and striped seats
I'll admit, I am not particularly taken with the seats myself, but it seems like you can get an Adidas trim more easily than custom ordering a new GTI with Xenons in. And maybe it's cos of that hate... some of the Adidas can be had cheaper than a spec-ed up GTI with Xenons and 18".
And the new Xenons.. with the LED DRL? I fell in love with them the moment I saw them here in the showroom. My current R35's LED DRL is just a bit naff. Worse it actually blocks air intake to the oil cooler. While I don't own a VW now, I manage to borrow my father-in-law's MkV GTI on occasion I've even helped sponsor the ABT quad exhaust upgrade while he paid for the BSR reflash. So it seems like a great daily driver.
As for power, I think as I grow older, my balls seem to have gotten smaller. More to live for, my friend says. I think even in stock form, it's plenty enough to potter around it. The days of my GT2835 turbos, full turbo back exhaust systems and brakes are way behind me. I hope.
ps just in case I err backslide, what's VW Australia's policy on car modifications?

Saw a number of new Adidas units at 44-45 grand or thereabouts driveway on carsales. Not bad for a GTI with 18" MDI BT and bixenons, right?
