Golf GT, GTI, GTD and R models get Bluetooth and Vienna leather as standard (UK)

Hi, just saw this in the Golf GTI UK forum and was wondering if it was going to happen here ?

I quite like my cloth interior and think its a pity, but I am sure there are the usual marketing reasons for it.

Unlikely. A lot of people in Australia don't like leather. Our climate is obviously very different to the UK...

The UK spec cars were always specced higher than standard I thought and probably priced as such - relative to the competition in that market. I've read somewhere that Mk V GTI's came with Xenon lights as standard.

Different markets have different 'standard' specs - the US have lower spec radios as standard and I believe that the Mk V's didn't come with climate control aircon.

The UK cars have cruise as an option! I have no idea why. Maybe because their roads are so congested they can't stay at the same speed for any length of time.

I sat in leather and I sat in cloth. I got the impression that the leather was best left to the (cough) larger amongst us. No offence. Point being leather isn't for everyone.
