The 102 degrees C is not unusual. I drove down to Geelong a couple of days ago and with temperatures in the high 20's, the oil temperature was reported as 102 degrees C with just normal driving at 100 to 110 km/h.

The hgh ambient temperature of 42 degrees C means that the oxygen concentration was also lower and so this could be the cause of stalling. You might need to have it looked at to see if the settings need to be tweaked to account for these high temperatures.

Thanks for your responses. Do I need to go to a dealer or can I go to authorised VW service (such as Golfwagen or Quadro Motors)?
Thought I'd have a problem free car for 3-5 years, not having to worry after 6 month. If I wanted problems I would get Cherry or Getz for 10k.

New 90 TSI cuts out. Fixes?

My new 2012 90 TSI DSG has randomly cut out twice now. Both times when moving. It starts again no problem but its a bit concerning. Iam bringing in to the dealer but as they are usually retarded I would like to give them some ideas to fix it if its a known problem. It only has 1500km on it.

I would have thought they would have upgraded the software in the 2 model years since the original post was made. any other solutions.

The dealer has updated the software. We shall see how it goes now.

My 2011 90TSI jerks a bit a low speed but hasn't stalled. Do I need to ask the dealer to update the software?
