For the record, Oil level warning doesn't appear to be logged, have done that myself when I didn't top up correctly after an oil change, got the low oil warning on the MFD, and on checking with Vag Com, no logged error. With Vag Com you can actually get a oil level reading in mm, how the heck they do that is beyond me, but impressive none the less.

Hi guys been reading this thread and it doesn't sound to promising that there is an actual fix for engines blowing up!

We have one of these cars in the family and it is onto its 3rd engine!! What happens when the warranty runs out ? Is there any permanent solutions to fix this?

Sell the car or trade it in.

That is preposterous!! Any change that 92 RON unleaded has ever been used to fill up?

Can you provide the year and month when each of these replacements took place?

There are still people here who insist that any recent blowups are solely due to damage caused prior to the ECU update or by improper fuelling.

Car gets always gets BP 98 or 95 when thats not available. Ill try get the details on when the engines were changed.

Looks like we have made a decision to trade it in not worth these hassles.
