There's something a little odd about those faults. A group of 1 and 4 others at a different period. When was the last time you scanned the ECU prior to this posted scan?
Hi all,
My 118TSI just turned its toes up last night, though it's always felt a bit shuddery at idle. Always run it on BP Ultimate, had the ECU reflash done as soon as it was available and the car isn't thrashed (I have a Boxster for that!).
I ran a scanner over the ECU once I got the car home:
Coincidentally I was planning on putting the car up for sale as I didn't want to deal with problems once the warranty ran out. I'll hopefully find out what's going to be done tomorrow once I get it towed to the dealership.5 Faults Found:

VW SCIROCCO 1.4TSI - DSG (MY2010) UK, East Cheshire.
Build Complete October Wk43/09, Driving 4th November - Wk44/09. Sorted !
I never had the equipment to scan it, unfortunately. I agree, the turbo bypass circuit date is very odd, but that may just be the software we used having trouble with it. There's a loud clicking noise when the RPMs reach the point where the supercharger would disengage. This wasn't there before the check engine light started flashing so I believe they're all from the same period regardless of what the time stamps say.
Hi Squozen
Curious - What do you mean by toes up?
You seemingly got it home under its own power. Was it just the CEL light that came on but the car kept running fine. Or did it actually s*1t itself and the engine suffered a catastrophic failure? Toes up is pretty vague. Could mean a lead came loose or you have hole in the side of the block!
Ignore the dates on the Scans. They are always wrong. But the the kms should be correct. That being the case the first message should be the only one to look at. According to the scan the fault only happened once.
The others happened 80,000km ago or a lifetime ago. Was that per chance about the time you got the ecu flashed? If so they probably just failed to clear those messages at the time, so you could ignore them.

I've done less than 24k on the car. By 'turning toes up' I mean that the check engine light started flashing and the engine started violently misfiring. I basically rolled it home as I had only driven it for 30 seconds before this happened.
I should know what is happening early this week but the service tech I spoke to was talking about 'putting a report together for VW Australia' so it sounds to me like he expects this to be an engine replacement.
Good news! The engine has not died. Bad news! The problem was rodents in the wiring harness and I'm out $1700 for a new one!
FML.
Any reason for having Rodents in ur engine?

I wish I knew! I guess they liked the warmth. I'm looking on the bright side though as they had also built a nest on top of my boxster's engine and that would have been a lot pricier to repair.
The techie who found them must'v have had a nice surprise when he found them.
