(in all seriousness i am considering one, but everytime i look at one too many ums and arhhhs to make a decision if worthwhile or not...)

I've looked around for a 1:18 GTI and couldn't find anything. I even called the place I normally buy all my diecasts and they said "no go".

If you care to share, where did you source it from 'cause me likey, likey very muchly, muchly?

Have a look here. A whole range of VW model cars in different scales. Problem is getting someone to buy and ship it for you.

    http://www.volkswagen-accessories.ie...gen_model_cars

    Here's a selection:

    Mk1 GTI

    Golf R32

    Jetta

    Passat

    Tiguan

    Touareg

mine came from germany.. i think rrp is $135 from memory but i paid roughly $85 or so inc shipping. (lucky as dealer edition too)

will get scirocco sometime one day soon but first the rs collection to finish LOL

those models from vw on the site itself i wouldnt recommend. not detailed at all and look very average.

Actually you can also get the scale models (and other VW merchandise) from the .au store. http://www.volkswagenshop.com.au/index.asp

For example, for $39.50 1:43 scale

The Mk V GTI is on sale, @ $19.25
