    Future proof 2011 CFFB TDI

Bit the bullet and changed everything. No noticeable wear after 70,000 klm since last change but has been over 7 years. Serpentine tensioner wasn't done before and had miniscule movement at pulley. Car will be over 20 years old before due again! Could not budge the alternator pulley, snapped 2 special tools. Will wait till alternator dies and replace as one.

What did the belt look like, any signs of cracks or wear?
It looks like you read my post in the diesel section back on 18/05/23.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

No sign of any real wear at all. The Continental branding hadn't even worn off the belt! Water pump was in much better condition than the one I replaced 7 years ago.
