Found a bolt and nut under my Golf Mk6

I found this bolt and washer under my 2009 Golf mk6 TSI118 DSG

The bolt is around 30mm long and the washer is around 20mm wide.

Could anyone please confirm its from the Golf and if so, let me know where it belongs?

    Thanks,
    Steve

It looks like a drive shaft bolt?? Could be wrong!! But normally some do not have the washers
It worth having a look. Turn your steering wheel to lock and check each side of the shafts which connect to the DSG.

Can't say I've seen any bolts like that while poking around my engine bay. Also wouldn't any bolts that come off come to rest on your plastic engine tray instead of hitting the ground. I would think it more likely the bolt got kicked under there or something... but I'm not a mechanical expert.

Its not familiar but have to say being the 10mm spline, they are used in many parts of the dub, would need to be up on a hoist to confirm

Thanks for the helpful suggestion. I check that I still have all the drive shaft bolts. They seem to be similar to my mystery bolt and come without any washers.

looks like the bolt that hold the exhaust cat mount to the engine block should have 2 each side of the cat.

They use a 18mm nut and the bushes use a 13mm bolt

Thanks for the helpful suggestion but there have been no modifications to the Golf. Its all factory standard.
