Question Floor Mats/Liners - Carpet Protection

Just joined the forum, my usual daily is a GSXR600, although for winter I have put a deposit on a 2009 GTI.

I work construction and will often be getting in/out of the car with dirty, wet, muddy work boots...

Is anyone able to recommend any Floor Liners, with raised edges, that will protect the carpets from all the ****e being dragged in? A few are sold for the Mk6 in the US, but they are all Left Hand Drive.

I know Weathertech produce good ones, and MaxPider, although they are LHD and not golf specific.

Genuine options are available from your dealer and will fit first go!

Make sure you take your VIN number in so they order the correct one.

One of the factory accessories I always buy are a set of rubber mats, I wouldn't have a car without them. I've never tried after market as I've never had a need.

The only Genuine VW options I can find are the rubber mats, I'm looking for liners, with a raised edge of 2-3inches near the pedals (75mm or so), to keep the carpeted edges of the footwell clean.

The footwell of my work ute is trashed, and I want to keep the GTI looking fresh!

Ive been looking for a week solid and hadn't found any. These could work well, thanks!

I am also enquiring about these 3D Mats | Tru-Fit Carpets although they are $160 a set, and quality could be questionable considering the website.

Bushrangers are a reputable seller. The others look Ok as well VW rubber mats arent cheap though would cost $200 for front and backs I got some from Perth for the Polo and they are fairly good

I have the same issue as you with workboots dragging crap into car

I got some aftermarket rubber mats from ebay for 80 bucks (good quality) to cover the footwell i used the plastic mats for under computer desks( cost about $30 or $40) to stop from wearing out the carpet i measured and trimmed it to suit so fits perfectly under the pedals and around footrest
I put it in 1st and put the rubber mat over the top and clip it in so it stops the plastic mat underneath from moving no more mess and ruined floor carpet
