So with Stage 1 and that exhaust, 250+kw?

Thanks for posting that up Guy. Do you know whether it is louder or quieter than the stock exhaust? At Idling, Cruising, and WOT?

Does look very impressive and the info on improved response sounds good but damn what a price!

Maybe I hung around the Jap stuff too much but $4k for a turbo back exhaust just seems crazy to me. (Yeah I know, don't like it, don't buy it....)

I guess the price wasn't really a shock to me, as the divorced downpipe and high-flow cat has long been available at $2495. So the midpipe and rear muffler/exhaust tips is what we've been waiting for and that's only $1500.

I had already budgeted the downpipe in my future purchases, so whether I'll spend the extra $1500 I guess depends on the sound (does it sound better? is it the same volume or quieter than stock etc?) and how much diff the full exhaust makes in performance over just the downpipe.

As my first "euro" I guess I'm just finding it difficult to accept that an ECU remap and full exhaust is $5500-6000. Anyway won't hijack the thread, I'll save it for somewhere else.

    Guy,

Is the new Golf R RSC Exhaust System any lighter than the standard system and if so, by how much?

I just thought I'd point out that this is not a RSC exhaust system. This has been developed by APR Australia (in other words Guy and Harding Performance) in co-operation with a local manufacturer and they do not have the equipment required to engineer an RSC exhaust.
