    Factory sports body kit

Personally, I think this looks perfect for a non-GTI Golf. It treads the fine line between bland and flashy very nicely.

However, I heard a nasty rumour that it costs more than a federal government BER (Builders' Early Retirement) school demountable classroom ... anyone know some prices ?

It was discussed in another thread (can't find it right now, as the search feature appears to be flaky on older posts/threads).
I believe it was below $3000 painted and fitted. So it's not the cheapest, but nowhere near the most expensive body kit either.

I couldn't find a thread about it either.

Does anyone have any real like pics of it as opposed to the ones in the VW brochure ?

I just picked up my golf with the body kit last week. I love the look of it, but yes it is expensive. Listed as 3.3K on my invoice (painted and fitted), but that is prior to discounting. Since i got a 10% discount on the entire car i guess it works out around 3K.

Will try to post some pics for you later.

Its a decent looking piece of kit, but not sure if its worth 3 large just for a minimal change in appearance.
For a little more, you could get a nice set of aftermarket wheels / springs etc.

As with any of these things, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the value will depend on whether it appeals to you, and how individual you wish to be.

Of the countless MK6 cars I've seen thusfar, I haven't seen a single one with this bodykit. On the MK5, the factory bodykit was also extremely rare. So in that case, maybe $3k is a small price to pay for some individuality ?!

To round things off, VW have decided to include a free t-shirt with each Votex bodykit:

$3k isn't bad considering its factory fitted and painted IMO.
