Euro Revolutions Golf R build thread

There has been much speculation about the new Golf R that has been purchased by myself to build into a quick daily driven Golf R. Im hoping to have it completely finished towards the end of next year but will have most of the power additions finished by Sydney drags in late February.
So, the factory specs are as follows:
    2011 Candy white,DSG,Recaros and 3 door.

The modifications so far are as follows:
Miltek race downpipe and Golf Racing intake
Wheels are RS4 replicas (borrowed from Sebs S3)
    Torque mount

To come in the next fortnight:
S3 front mount,Autotech fuel pump,RS4 fuel pressure valve,Re-code tune,2 piece discs with lightweight brake calipers, 17 inch Fujin wheels.

    To be done by Feb:
    Titanium exhuast,KW V3s,BSH engine mounts,custom intake,Aluminium intake manifold,multi-point water-meth injection,carbon fibre hatch+bonnet.

Although only in possession of the car for 4 or so weeks its already racked up 5000km and done a round trip to Warwick raceway where it helped me pick up 3 trophies. With a best time of 8.35 @ 84.75mph it knocking on the door of a 12 second pass on the 1/4, all without a tune!

It will continue to be modified and become faster as time progresses but until then I'll enjoy it as it is and await for new parts to continue arriving and patiently wait for chassis development to continue being carried out on it over the coming weeks.

Sounds like it is going to be a beast.
Never heard of Fujin wheels, have to look them up.

I know going from reps to my lightweights was a massive improvement.
And from memory a carbon bonnet isn't much of a reduction over say removal of the spare wheel/back seats.

The S3 is slowly being put back together. The new turbo is much bigger than the old one and there are issues with the coolant lines/fittings that are being adressed. Seb might put some pictures up soon.

that's gonna look SO frigging tough with 17 inch wheels... (toughest newish golf i've seen to date is adzy's with 17inch RPF1's and modest cup kit lowering... NOTHING with a vw badge and 19's comes even close to touching it for pure aggressive looks).

and these are the wheels, am i right?

Sweet. I used to own an 8L and I had dreams of building something similar.

And I will eat my words over the 17 inch wheel comment! I could have sworn there wasn't the brake clearance. Happy to be proved wrong though.

    Holy miniscule brake clearance!
    That is crazy.

Must be a real pain trying to clean in there.

How come you are going for an S3 intercooler and not for something bigger?

Agreed. Given the amount of labour involved to take the entire front of the car off to change the intercooler, going to a S3 intercooler seems like a bit of a waste.
