Exclamation EPC and BATTERY warning light turned on while driving.. 1 month old golf

Hi guys just need some expert advise of what this could be
As was driving down the highway at cruising speed and suddenly lost acceleration. so i tried pressing the accelerator paddle and nothing happens an i noticed EPC light turned on near speedo. car started to slow down so i had to navigate it to side of the road. along with above warning I also found battery light turned on and when car came to dead stop it just turned off it self. Could not start it any more. tried turning it off and on several times with taking out keys but no response. after that car towed to service centre (barlo world) and they telling me today that there is nothing wrong with the car. they drove the car to workshop them self
so whats going on here doesnt make any sense
now they told me that they going to keep the car and head technician will take car home to test drive to check if everything is ok
anyone with similar experience??? Please help

Given that it seems to come and go, it sounds like it could be an electrical issue. Dud battery, wiring, sensor etc?

i wouldnt hold your breath, i had an led drl bulb out error and was confirmed with vagcom ... according to the "dealers" tool the car had no errors and therefore no problem.... its really a shame that old fashioned service has gone out the window. its across the board from all manufacturers.

    mechatronics unit got replaced
now it feels like i havent had the real car so far.
the new unit seems like a complete remap the way gear changes
shifts are extremely smooth, it now does the proper shift and gives the feeling like you are in a manual car
before i had dead zone in acceleration between some points but now its all smoothed out. acceleration is more linear
now it changes gear more accurately just so happy again
    just so happy again>D
