Shame you're having an issue. Although, there are people here who have had clutch and gearbox issues with Volkswagen manuals (as have almost all other brands), so I guess the best recommendation is to get no gearbox at all
Just drove in sports mode after having the ecu reset last week by VW Gold Coast. The issue is still there.
It's going in again on friday so they can request a mechatronics unit replacement. I'm completely over this....3rd time to VW in 2 months. sigh. To make matters worse, the only loan car they have for me is a VW Transporter...
I'm finding it difficult to recommend the DSG to my friends and customers after all of this crap.

Lmao... yeah - exactly. We'd probably all be living in the a Flinstones' like world if we all avoided technology which gave a few people problems! We wouldn't have electricity, cars, planes, modern houses or plumbing or wow, practically anything I can think of! Which was my point really. People have problems with anything. So there has been a few DSG failures - that's what we have warranties for...
I completely agree, I tend to be easily fustrated these days as it seems as though I always encounter problems other people have been able to avoid. Anyway back to VW tomorrow hopefully for the last time.
Upside is I get to cruise around in a VW transporter van for the day, i know i know, your're all jealous.
Couldn't help myself.....
Just got news from VW service centre, they wouldnt tell me the exact problem but they are going to replace the entire DSG transmission. I'm not sure whether I should be sad or happy.
Sigh, booked in again for next friday....4th visit to VW in 2 months.

The ENTIRE transmission or just the Mechatronics?
