DSG Issue?

Hi All,

Twice in the last couple of days I have taken off from a standstill in sport mode, but when the gearbox changed to S2 there was a lot of hesitation and the car stopped accelerating, before kicking in to gear.

It's like it couldn't find the gear or something, but it didn't just coast in neutral, I jolted forward in the car a bit, like if you put the car in too low a gear in a manual and the engine slows the car hard (but it was in 1st!) Then it kicked in to 2nd and accelerated as normal.

It happened on two separate days. Each time I tried to repeat the problem but couldn't, car would just accelerate as normal.

Hope I explained that okay... anyone experienced this??

I've experienced either no drive in D2 when the DSG shifts from D1 to D2, or I've experienced the car being stuck in 1st despite displaying D2 in the MFD.

These are very rare occurences though (although frequency is trending upwards), and I think VW cannot do anything unless a fault has been logged. Unless they experience the problem, they seem to be unable to diagnose & fix.

I've also experienced the 'neutral' issue as well when shifting from 1 to 2. I just pull over until the DSG 'recovers'. Of course if this happens on a freeway I'm in deep s#!&
