Hey guys and girl,
Just wanted to see if someone has experienced the following and how they fixed it.
On very rare occasions ( only drive on the weekend) when I accidently drive over pot holes, even if it's a small one, my driver side door becomes unlatched. The light turns on indicating the door is not closed properly. I have to then open the door and close it properly.
Any ideas, this is a real safety issue, hope the door doesn't fly open one day...
Thanks
Yeah I've called them, the guy I spoke to said his never heard of this happening. Told me to bring my car in, the problem is its only happened 3 times in the last 6 months so doubt it will happen when I bring it in.
New one on me too...did the door actually open? If it did the the lock catch will be too weak...if it didnt then more than likely a micro switch in the lock faulty....or loose contacts in the door....id say they would be fitting a new door lock for you...VDUB...

Has your car go auto locking on the central locking system
If so look for a short or loose wire in that.
If the door is physically moving open look to adjusting the striker plate
