The dribbling rear window washer - did the fix work?

    Chaps

Just intrigued, for those of you who had the dribbling rear washer jet on acceleration and when you had the official remedy installed by the dealer, if this cured your problem?

I've now realised that on hard acceleration mine still does it and seems no different and given the dealer mucked up the first service last time (they forgot to do it), I wonder if they also forgot to install this part?

Thus, if this happened and they resolved it, did it fully resolve it for you? Thanks

Haven't had this looked at by the dealer but from what I read on other forums, doesn't seem to work.

There's a thread that details a DIY fix. Haven't tried it myself though. Link here

I went past the dealer a few woeeks ago to tell them about it. They had no idea what I was on about as they hadn't heard of anyone having that problem.

    The dribble is flippin annoying!

I got mine sorted at the dealer a while back. No problems so far.

I have had mine "fixed" twice, and it still dribbles .....

It is a different dribble everytime though ..... so it is more like it P's itself now under hard acceleration ...

ocassionable dribble on hard acceleration...this is after the "fix"

is this day and age. and how many decades of VW making cars you wouldnt think something as simple as this would have them baffled

A VW dealer which shall remain nameless told me that there is no fix and it's just the way it is because the water line to the rear washer is so long.

    It's a golf.... Not a limo.

    FAIL
