Not sure what you mean regarding patience, and if you want to read about what the in's and out's are I agree look in the mkv areas, but it doesnt hurt to ask here either.
As for the 'value' of the R20, thats yet to be seen as they have not released the prices as of yet nor what standard equipment in Aus will be for the money. The GTI MK6 IMO at ~$45K for a medium spec'ed DSG 5 dr is a much better value than any car like it on the road and at the moment with figures of mid $60K for the R20 I'd have to say the the GTI is better 'value', as is the difference between a $50K and $60K price tag, I'm not sure about you but for most people $10K is a fair amount of cash.
In the end though each person will define 'value' in their own way, so long as they enjoy the ride it really doesnt matter if they pay $10K or $100K for their car.
