I've gone to a dealer 2 or 3 times asking them to do that, and each time they make up some excuse for not doing it.

    Use a different dealer

If you are in Sydney send me a pm. I am 100% certain my service manager will do it for you

I'm not in Sydney. Burwin VW is supposed to be dealer of the year 3 times in a row, and isn't even my closest one. New dealer opened near by last year but the guys there are not pleasant to deal with at all. When I was looking at VW before purchasing I was at Barloworld at Glen Waverly and the guy there was even worse. I'm a VW fan because of their cars, an perhaps the sales and service guys are too, but sometimes they come across as arrogant, which is a shame. Not sure if anyone else has observed that or not. At least Mark at Burwin is a nice person to deal with.

Get in touch with Robbo at TigerSoft and tell him Candyman sent you.

Whilst he is a Viezu dealer, he may well be able to offer you a solution. I'll be down your way very soon

You could also try a VW specialist, such as your APR dealer? If they have the knowledge and tools to service a DSG, they should be able to reset the DSG for you.

You'd be surprised how many Rs I see here in the so-called overtaking lane hovering 20kms under the speed limit on the freeway or taking their merry old time to get "out of the blocks" when the traffic light turns green. GREEN means "GO" folks...! I will not lower myself to type casting, but boy some of those drivers should just drive a Camry or something...
Perth has quiet a large comunity of people who buy the R for prestige rather then for its enjoyment/performance.

always in D mode - lazy as I am doing 95% city driving. Only when I want to overtake, or need a sudden rush of turbo boost to my head do I use the paddle shifts. Plus it helps get 580km to a tank in the city!

Barloworld Glen is terrible, mum was looking for a new car and asked to enquire about a golf r they had in stock, the salesman had to read everything of a piece of paper and his English wasn't the best.... He knew I wanted to test drive it and not mum and didn't allows us to take the car saying the manager didn't want to put any kilometers on it

    Never going back there
