I wonder if that's based on contracts signed or cars delivered?
There's certainly a massive backlog of orders...
Two numbers really stand out in the following for me
38,000 VW's in 2010 sold in Australia and of those 3742 were performance Golfs!!! (GTI & R)

There's certainly a massive backlog of orders...
2006 MkV 2.0TDI -> 2005 MkV GTI -> 2008 MkV R32 -> 2013 Polo 77TSI + 2016 Mk7 Golf R Wagon
It's on cars delivered. They have the be registered etc to be counted.
and not a Renualt in sight, go figure>>>
Black 3dr, DSG, ACC, 19" Black Talladega's, Heaps of Goodies - Double Tint - APR Stage 1 - Delivered and Lovin' my R
and the 315 special edition all will be sold easily Focus RS....
But that explains why every time I see a MK6, its a bloody GTI lol
[Current] Audi A4 B8 MY2013 2.0T Quattro - Lava Grey, Black Edition, S-Line, 19" TT-RS Wheels
[SOLD] Golf GTI MK6 MY2011.5 - Candy White, 5-Door, Manual, Sunroof, Park Assist, 9W7 Bluetooth RVC, MDI, Dynaudio, RossTech MicroCAN, Bluefin Stage 2, LED Tails, VW Racing Panel Air Filter, 3" Eurojet Downpipe, Milltek non-Resonated Catback
leme see - I've seen about 4 other 118 TSI's - lots of 103 TDI's, and lots more GTI's
I think I saw my first R on the road the other day going into Burnley tunnel yesterday arvo - was a silver one of all colours) (Either that or someone changed their rear lights to the LED ones - that's the only way I noticed it).
In the first list I would've liked to have seen VW a bit higher up, but I guess that means my car isn't too "common" yet.
