    Dealer survey - AC Nielsen

    Today I received an invitation to participate in a dealer satisfaction survey. Is this something that goes to all VW purchasers? (I've had my car for 5 weeks now.) It must be a big deal for the dealer concerned, because they've left me a number of voice mails & texts leading up to now. How big a deal is the survey result for the dealer?

    It think it is fairly important to the dealer. I remember when I got my GTI in 2006 the salesman begged and pleaded with me to give a good report on them. It was a dead set brown nose job for a while there.

    Of course once the report is completed, they don't want to know you again until such time as you're ready to buy another car.

    AC Neilsen are a professional survey company. I think that this may be a VW commissioned survey and is certainly different to the sales evaluation survey that the salesman pleads with you for good points.

    I would not think that dealers would go to the expense of a Neilsen Survey which is conducted independently.

    May even be a "higher" authority than Volkswagen Australia who have commissioned the survey. Could be industry wide, motoring magazine etc.

    I would say it's worth participating and just be honest with your answers.
    You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.

    Yep, just got mine yesterday. Am about to fill it out now. And , yeah, the saleswoman certainly did a good crawl job when we bought our GTI for good ratings in any surveys !!!

    A significant amount of time was devoted to telling me how to fill out the survey by my dealer when I picked the car up. She even offered to fill my tank up if I came in so we could 'fill out the survey together, to make sure you give the right answers'. All it has motivated me to do is be even more honest in my answers.
    Currently my car has a not-centred steering wheel and a rattle, the survey will not be filled out until those issues are fixed!

    Well form is filled!!! gave top marks all around! Gotta admit, it was one of the best car buying experiences i've had..... and probably the best car i've bought!!

    As did I, and gave a special mention to aftersales service in comments as it was non existant!

    Does everyone who purchased a new get asked to fill this survey out?

    When we picked out car up we were given a "special" talk about how we will be getting a survey to fill out and also a call in a couple days from the guy dealer. Well we had issues with our dealer and never received a survey or a call. I thought that they never sent it because they thought they would get a bad review.

    Seeing that it comes from a 3rd party, I am wondering if i will still get it. In spite of they poor conduct of our dealer, the service guy we dealt with was great and I think he deserves some positive feedback.

    Unless you were a customer a certain dealer here in Brisbane who used to use dodgy addresses yes.

    How long ago did you purchase the car? Did you buy it through a lease company? Is it in your name? They send it to the address that the dealer has for you and it can take a while for it to come out (mine was 4-6 weeks from memory)
