There are some very good adhesives around and once the two parts are pressed together the joint can't be seen.
So, for those of you who've read first time to damage thread in this forum, you would have heard about my incident with a prick cyclist. Now for round two...
It seems all these incidents happen when I park on the street. In this case I was parked in Camberwell - on Burwood Road, getting some breakfast. A little old lady backed her old lancer into me (it had one of those tow bars) and as a result has cracked the mesh grill in the front bar.. Now cause she's old and was going to the church - I believe she works there. I didn't completely lose the plot, and I would like to fix this as cheaply as possible not to put her in a tough spot.
Are there any ideas as to where I could get the part cheaply?
It looks relatively easy to take off (some clips at the back hold it in place...).

problem is the pieces had fallen through and although we spent few minutes on the Road looking for them seems them have dropped under the bar somewhere and I figure they probably have fallen through whilst I was driving the car home.

Get a printed quote from your friendly VW dealer, so that you have the part number.
Google the part number, and see what comes up.
'07 Transporter 1.9 TDI
'01 Beetle 2.0
Try giving VolksAudi a call to see if they have one or know where to source one.
Could try to buy a replacement part yourself from orientalparts.com or parts4euro.com.
I have a search setup in eBay for Golf GTi Mk6 and noticed there are a few mesh grills for sale.
