    I had the same situation after having my GTI for about 3 weeks. The coolant was below the minimum line............................BUT............... .after opening the lid, the coolant level rose back up slightly and I could hear all that warm air hissing out.
    Bought the coolant, mixed it and then topped it up. Been checking my coolant and engine oil levels every few weeks and topping it up if necessary. Did not expect to do it so often to be honest. Could be the hot wheather.

    Hi team,

    Just did a random check on my coolant and was shocked to see the level:

    G12++ you guys said? I'll either try buying it or go back to my dealer for a top up.

    Yep mate. G12++
    I got a bottle (1.6L or something) from my APR dealer in Sydney last time I was there for about $20 or something. However, I'm sure that any VW dealer would be happy to top it up for you if you dropped into their service dept.

    Get them to check your water pump as well and keep an eye on it.

    Interesting.
    I was looking at mine on the weekend without seeing this thread , took a photo and was about to post a new topic.
    I've stuck some tape on mine near the current level so I can see what it's doing.

    I also had a look at my wife's EOS with the previous 2T engine and it seemed to be filled up to the middle level.
    Would be interesting to see what other people show.

    Done about 3,000 km. Level ok but I suspect will need top up not far down the road.

    Why? The car is under warranty, you're aware that it's low, there is a warning system there if it does drop too low so what is there to worry about when there is an explanation given by a dealer about why it could drop a little?
